This past Saturday, on December 17th, 2016, I hosted my second installment of Old Line Supper Club: a Winter Solstice Supper.
Winter Solstice is a time of celebration, harvest, and gifts given and appreciated, and our meal was much the same. Each course was based upon a gift from my life; the gifts of history, harvest, education, and love. The dishes were based on these gifts I’ve been given, including flavors of the old country, produce from the harvest, inspirations from teaching cookbooks, and memories of celebrations past. Each dish was accompanied by a story of the gift that inspired it.
